John writes, educates, and consults about business data skills and projects. His backstory began when he picked up data analysis and programming with Microsoft Excel and MatLab while earning a civil engineering degree at the University of Arizona. John found his footing in his career by building complex and critical data infrastructure for companies, focusing primarily on reporting, analytics, and process automation.

In 2017, John ventured out as a boutique business data consultant, working directly with business owners and executives on a wide variety of projects, both in type and complexity. While honing his skills with data tools such as spreadsheets, VBA, and SQL along the way, he also learned the fundamental data concepts that drive results in a highly competitive, data-driven business landscape.

John's educational courses and content are unique because he draws on his direct hands-on experience with successful businesses to teach concepts that will help others achieve better results with their data. As an Excel and Google Sheets expert, John is adept in several programming languages, capable of performing complex calculations, building visually appealing reports, and automating complex tasks while delivering work at a first-rate professional standard.
